From my family to yours, we would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas. This really is the most wonderful time of the year, not just because of all the excitement and presents, if you have children, but because we get to celebrate and remember the birth of Christ.The gift he gave in giving His life.

I have the most amazing family and friends and clients and I am grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for visiting my blog and following along. Enjoy your time with family, whatever that looks like for you and don't eat too much!

52 Week Project - Week 18

I have been so incredibly fortunate to have had the friends I have had in my life. Some of my best friends are flung far and wide across this earth and some are near at hand. In the journey of parenthood I am so grateful for the friends that are on this road with us and that our children are friends with each other...best friends!

My son's two closest friends, who he has grown up with, are both little girls and he could not love them more. I know that they are entering the years when they will, undoubtedly, seek friends of the same sex with the same interests, but I trust that these early foundational years will keep them close. That these will be friends that he will always be able to turn to in times of need, or doubt. The shared memories of growing up together, the deep bonds of trust and love of each others' families. I hope these will always stand strong in his mind, that he will have confidence, knowing he is loved.

How empty our life would be without friends to share it with!

Happy Father's Day

It has been a long week in the Cannan household. Every year James takes a trip down to Mexico, with a team from our church, and they build a home for a needy family, it really is a worthwhile cause, but it means sacrifice too; our life is so different when he is gone. We love him and need him in so many different ways. He got last night, just in time for Father's Day.

He is such a wonderful daddy who adores his children and his wife. He is so giving and warm and genuine and fun. He knows how to be silly and make his children laugh and how to be sensitive and compassionate when they are hurting or struggling. He is such a wonderful example to us all.

Last year I started, what I have decided will now be a tradition, for as long as the kids will allow it to be anyway, and took a photograph of the three of them lying on a black background. (You can click here to see last year's photograph and how much they have changed). I think it will be fun to look back in years to come and see these, side by side. Of course it will probably make me cry too, but I hope they will be sweet tears of remembrance of the good times, of a house full of tiny feet and shrieks and giggles.

We make pretty darn cute kids together, even if I do say so myself! Happy Father's Day my love, you are the best Daddy in the whole world.

Cousins

I am busy editing wedding photographs, but last week we were visiting family in Texas and the fields were beautiful. We just do not have anything like it here. Here are my three munchkins with their sweet cousin Flynn, they truly adored her and now we are home miss her...and now back to work. Sneak peek will hopefully be up soon.

Happy Father's Day

These three little munchkins adore their daddy! He is such a wonderful father, so caring, fun, loving and kind. When he walks in the door at the end of the day, yells of

"DADDY! DADDY!"

erupt as they run to fling arms around his waist, or knees. Asia does a daddy's-home-dance which consists of running round the kitchen in a circle as fast as she can (which is not very fast).

He has so much love to give to those in his life. He wears his heart on his sleeve and we are all better people for being loved by him. I love to see him with his children, he does not hold back any part of himself and showers them with love and affection. There is no fear, they know they are safe and loved and cherished.

Happy Father's Day my love! Thank you for being the best daddy and giving me the amazing gift of these beautiful children.
