2018 Lifestyle Project - Week 8

We continue to unpack and settle into this new home but I feel like the day in and day out is much the same, with little variety for photos. It is our life right now though, so I push through. This little guy has found his spot. He loves to sit by the window facing the street, so he can monitor all the comings and goings, and you know, bark at any passing dogs. When we leave the house I put his bed on top of the chair and as it's quite cold at the moment I also add a blanket, that has slowly become his. He seems to have adapted without problem and will relax quite happily here, although he'd rather be snuggled up with one of us. I think he's doing just fine, the rest of us should hopefully catch up soon.

2018 Lifestyle Project - Week 7

Moving is exhausting; physically and emotionally draining. We have moved far too many times and it never gets easier and we are not pros. I don't have many photos from the last week and once again am posting late, because that is my current reality. There are still boxes and chaos and kids and a dog adjusting, although I feel everyone is doing pretty well.

This photo was a day or so in, at the end of a long day. Empty shelves, boxes, tired daddy, dog just happy he was sitting long enough he could jump up on his lap and get some love; because nobody explained to him life was about to get turned upside down...again. But as long as he's with his people, it's all ok.

2018 Lifestyle Project - Week 6

A couple of days late posting this week, for last week, but with good reason; we just moved this past weekend and our internet service didn't start up again until yesterday. This picture is absolutely not a 'pretty' one, but it is an accurate representation of my last two weeks; packing, packing and more packing!

Our move day was quite amazing! We had put a message in our church bulletin asking for help and we had so many people turn up. It was probably our quickest, smoothest move ever, completed in record time and it was a wonderful feeling to have so many people in our new home. As people chatted and drank tea and munched on biscuits, there was a real sense of community and I felt so grateful, not only for all the help, but for this new house and the space and all that it represents as an answer to prayer. This is a new season!

2018 Lifestyle Project - Week 5

It's still so cold, but we get the occasional bright day and there were a couple of days this week where it was still bright when the girls got home from school and as the sun set beyond the fence, for a few moments our living room streamed with light. I just had to capture it. It's fun to play with sun flare sometimes, it turns the drab into something a little more whimsical.

My eldest girl enjoying the last few rays.
