It's that time of year again, a whole month of getting out with the macro lens and capturing detail. Day 1! It is a bank holiday in the UK and we got the doggie out to a local woods, it's finally starting to feel like spring, thank goodness. Love seeing the ferns slowly getting ready to unfurl.

No big finale, but it is the last day of May and my macro challenge. We made it! Thanks for following along and cheering me on….without the accountability of posting here it would have been easier to give up on the days I lacked inspiration (and there were certainly a few). It may be a minor accomplishment but I’m glad to have completed the month.

…..and breathe…last day (it was a hectic one) of work for a week. No idea what this flower is called, but it was ion a neighbour’s garden. Enjoy your long weekend everyone :)

At a local park and in the midst of the sea of green this bush stood out; the whole thing was a beautiful burgundy. Different is good!
